Business and Enterprises Reflection

 Hi guys welcome back to my blog today we will be talking about my reflection on my business and enterprises reflection and what went well in the group so some positives and some negatives about my group so here it is

Positives of the group: Helping each other, communicating with each other, Being there ready with our work equipment, making decisions and agreeing with the decisions that the whole had made.

Negatives of the group: people leaving sometimes when the rest of the group needed more help, Sometimes there is bad communications, some time our group don't do anything instead of working, little bit of times there is no working together, people talking over each other

Maths Work: Stem and Leaf Graph

 Hi guys today in Maths Me and my group have been learning about a 

Stem and Leaf Graph what is a Stem and Leaf graph you ask? its a graph that I will show my work for example

A stem and leaf graph is kinda like a bar graph but different here is why see the numbers that have the line next to them they are the numbers say 19 for an example you take out the 9 you have 1 but one is the 10 - 19 numbers and the other numbers next to the one are the shorter versions of the numbers supposed to be like for a another example 7 in the ones row is 17 but you take out the 1 and that makes 17 but shorter I hope this made senses to you if not I am  sorry for not explaining properly you can just search it up anyways thank you for reading and also here is the question for today is

Christchurch Earthquakes

 Welcome back to my blog today we will be learning about The Christchurch Earthquakes so here are my 

1. Because the earthquake was shallow and people were sleeping in there house

2. 6,659 people were injured

3. Liquefaction: A mix of Mud,Sand and Water that came up from underground and made mini Volcanoes

4. 115 people died in the CTV Building 

5. Ginormous,Massive,Big

it was the breaking of the rocks that caused the earthquakes

the earthquake destroyed many Buildings 

the port hills fault turned on the the christchurch 

 

The Pike River Mine Disaster

 What do I think i know about this disaster: I know that this happen in a  Mine cause of an potential explosion and that many people died in this disaster

What do I think I will find out about this disaster: What made the explosion and how many people died in this terrible incident

Read and Research:

1. On the West Coast of New Zealand

2. In November 2008 but this was built in 2005

3. 31 miners inside the mine 

4. 2 people got out of the mine 

5. To try to recover the bodies that were still in the mine

6. Jacinda promised everyone to unseal and retrieve the bodies from the mine

is all about the first light house in New Zealand.

but now here are some facts about lighthouses before I read the journal to

1. The first lighthouse in the world is called the Egypt's Pharos of Alexandria.

2. The Country that has the most lighthouses is United States of America I think

3. The most photographed light house is The Portland head light 

4. The most visited Lighthouse is the Eastern point Light house I think it was Located in USA

5. Henry Winstanley was the first person to invent the first light house

I never knew this disaster really happend so I don't know anything 

from this disaster

 What do I think I already know about this disaster:

I already know that it was a tragic incident that happend in 1947 and it was one of  the worst fires in New Zealand history

-What Caused the fire

-How long did it take to put out

-Did the building burned down

Our First Olympians

 hi guys today I have been learning about Our first Olympic Athletes so we read a book called Our first Olympians by Bill Nogelkerke and we had to find keywords from the book so here are mine

then after we made that we also had to 

make our own and made up Olympic sport we could make anything so here was mine

So the name of the games is Bucket smash 

The Aim of the game is to hit down all the buckets and take out the whole team to win

Rules: 

you can Tackle the other team but you can't Tackle high by the head only by the Waist down woulds if you do that your out and the other team has a penalty and if you get tackled 3 times your out or if hold the ball for more than 5sec your out you also have to pass to all you players before you hit a bucket and also you can't hit the buckets on your side your side you have to hit the ones on the opposite side of you you can kick the ball you need stay in the field if it goes out other teams ball.

Equipment:

.Head gear (if Needed)

.Running Shoes

.Gloves (if you are not comfortable Catching things with your Bare hands)

.And Correct Sports Uniform

Hurumanu 3 Shaping up

 Hi guys today in Hurumanu 3 Shaping up we have been learning about Enlargement 

Rotation Reflection Translation. Rotation means to rotate the shape to any side.

Reflection is like a reflecting the shape kinda of like looking into a mirror 

Translation is like the shape still stays the same it just moves a bit.

and enlargement means making a shape Small to large.

Hockey

What is Hockey - Hockey is a team played game Between 2 teams of eleven players they use hockey sticks that they use to hit a ball into the goal post the whole field is 91.4 Meters long  the gear they use are 

• Shin Pads 
• Mouth guard 

Sometimes in professional games goalkeeper wear special gear to keep them safe while goal keeping

Something I have learnt from hockey - Dribbling the ball and shooting more accurate

Skittles Colour

 

Aim:

I want to find out what happens when mix Skittle colours 

Method 

Equipment

• Skittles
• Petri dish
• warm Water
• Beaker 
• white background

Instructions:

1. Get your equipment 
2. place your petri dish on the white backgroud 
3. put your skittles around the inside edge on the petri dish
4. pour warm water into the middle of the petri dish
5. Observe what happens

Prediction

I think the colours could change to a rainbow or brown

Results:

I saw the colours spread out like you were make a sandwich  Coming together to combine to the middle it was coming together as a Pie chart 

Discussion:

1.The colours dissolved (when a solid is mixed into a liquid creating a solution)

Why did the colours 

 Skittles have food colouring and sugar (ingredients that are able  to  dissolve in water), when you pour water over Skittles, the coloured dissolve  spreading through the water and that is why the skittles lost half their colour
