Hurumanu 3 Shaping up

 Hi guys today in Hurumanu 3 Shaping up we have been learning about Enlargement 

Rotation Reflection Translation. Rotation means to rotate the shape to any side.

Reflection is like a reflecting the shape kinda of like looking into a mirror 

Translation is like the shape still stays the same it just moves a bit.

and enlargement means making a shape Small to large.

Hockey

What is Hockey - Hockey is a team played game Between 2 teams of eleven players they use hockey sticks that they use to hit a ball into the goal post the whole field is 91.4 Meters long  the gear they use are 

• Shin Pads 
• Mouth guard 

Sometimes in professional games goalkeeper wear special gear to keep them safe while goal keeping

Something I have learnt from hockey - Dribbling the ball and shooting more accurate

Skittles Colour

 

Aim:

I want to find out what happens when mix Skittle colours 

Method 

Equipment

• Skittles
• Petri dish
• warm Water
• Beaker 
• white background

Instructions:

1. Get your equipment 
2. place your petri dish on the white backgroud 
3. put your skittles around the inside edge on the petri dish
4. pour warm water into the middle of the petri dish
5. Observe what happens

Prediction

I think the colours could change to a rainbow or brown

Results:

I saw the colours spread out like you were make a sandwich  Coming together to combine to the middle it was coming together as a Pie chart 

Discussion:

1.The colours dissolved (when a solid is mixed into a liquid creating a solution)

Why did the colours 

 Skittles have food colouring and sugar (ingredients that are able  to  dissolve in water), when you pour water over Skittles, the coloured dissolve  spreading through the water and that is why the skittles lost half their colour

 Hi today me and my partner Isabella were making a game in are hurumanu class the game is called Name it or lose it so here are the rules

Multiplayer mode

The way this game works is by one person standing in the middle of a circle they say a word that can be related to other things and then throw a ball at a person they will get 20 seconds to think of a word related to the word the person in the middle said when someone gets out the game will go quicker by a second the lowest it can get is 3 seconds when the person in the middle switches with the person they did a bad throw with they will sit down then point to the way the people will go once it gets back to the person who said the first thing the person in the middle will choose another word and point to the next person if you can not think of anything that can be seen as the word the person says you will have to sit and if you drop the ball your out but if the person in the middle does a bad throw you will switch with the person in the middle down an example the person in the middle said cold the person they pointed to could say something that could be seen as cold like ice or a person being mean the last person standing wins and the person in the middle doesn't count if you don't know anymore words then you say ‘i don't know’ and sit down

2 player

If you want to play by yourself and one other friend you can play 2 player the way you ply 2 player is by doing paper scissors rock to diccid who chooses first once that person has chosen they will go back and forth saying things related to the thing the first person said again last person standing wins and it is the same with a ball but if you drop or do a bad throw your still in if you don't know anymore words you say ‘i don't know’ and the other person wins you also can not say something that someone else already said or your out 

so if you want to play you just need a

. Ball-Any ball like a basketball or a volleyBall
